About
Pacific Pearl Music Association (abbreviated PPMA) was established in 2009 as a non-profit organization. Its mission is to enrich and nurture the community through music performance and education. PPMA currently has three sub-groups: Yangsheng Choir (YSC, 揚聲合唱團), Thousand Oaks Chinese Folk Ensemble (TOCFE, 千橡民樂坊), and Thousand Oaks Dance Ensemble (TODE, 千橡舞韻).
Our members come from all sorts of different professions and backgrounds. Each sub-group practices at least twice a month and serves the community throughout the year.
Through the joint efforts of the heads of each group, the members, and the art instructors, PPMA has not only grown but also improved its level of performance.
We are often invited to participate in large or small performances by the local community and even actively participate in large events in the Greater Los Angeles area.
